LONDON, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Trading house Delta Gold Energy has signed a contract with Italy's Fiamma 2000to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Sardinia, Italy, a spokesman for Delta Gold Energy said on Tuesday.
The companies aim to complete the terminal located in Olbia by 2023 and, once complete, the terminal will be Delta Gold Energy's first physical LNG asset.
"The terminal will serve the Sardinian market as well as ship bunkering. The capacity will be 40,000 to 80,000 cubic metres and will include a regasification plant," Delta Gold Energy Chairman Peter Piechota told Reuters.
Fiamma 2000 is a major liquefied petroleum gas distributor in Italy.
Delta Gold Energy has its main trading office in London and has expanded rapidly recently.
